Ahhhh!

For All You Grandmas, Nanas, Gigis, ....

An elderly woman and her little grandson, whose face was sprinkled with bright freckles, spent the day at the zoo. Lots of children were waiting in line to get their cheeks painted by a local artist who was decorating them with tiger paws. "You've got so many freckles, there's no place to paint!" a girl in the line said to the little fella. Embarrassed, the little boy dropped his head. His grandmother knelt down next to him. "I love your freckles. When I was a little girl I always wanted freckles," she said, while tracing her finger across the child's cheek. "Freckles are beautiful." The boy looked up, "Really?" "Of course," said the grandmother. "Why, just name me one thing that's prettier than freckles." The little boy thought for a moment, peered intensely into his grandma's face, and softly whispered, "Wrinkles."

What a Great Weekend

I'm so glad to see some of you following the blog. I know everyone viewing it hasn't signed on as a follower, but are following. If any of you have anything you would like to share, please let me know. I want this to be "our" blog.....or just add it in the comments after the blog.

Thank you to those of you who attended the services this weekend. God is good!!! He did some great works. It was so nice to meet some new Sisterz and get to share God's goodness with them. I know that the Lord ministered to some HUGE needs. There are some that will not be the same after God's touch. Isn't that just like our God, though.

Let's just carry the experience of these services over to tomorrow's services and have a GREAT day in the Lord.

Sheree, I hope you were at least a bit surprised at our little birthday gathering. We wish you a very happy birthday and many, many blessings from above. Enjoy the cake...and more cake! (You had to be there!)

Keep watching the blog. We're going to be doing some new and different things in Sisterz. I will be announcing them soon!!!!

Love ya, girls!!!

Welcome

Hello, Sisterz. Welcome to our "place." Here you will find devotions, announcements, funnies, testimonies, ....and well, anything else that comes from my heart. I wanted a way to communicate with you...and I hope you will find this to be a fun way to keep in touch.

So...here goes my first blog (I can't believe I'm actually doing this!!).

Most of us see the first of the year as a time to begin again, to make new commitments, and to get a fresh start. I have felt this more strongly this year than ever before. I feel the Lord's drawing to a much deeper commitment than I have ever had. I believe the Lord is urging us - that the time is short and the last days will require a deeper commitment than ever before. He wants to do so much for us, but it requires us to have a strong commitment to Him.

How committed are you? Committed enough to stand in these last days? Committed enough to see your prayers answered? Committed enough to be able to walk in God's victory. Let me encourage each of you to make a new commitment - a commitment that will make a difference in our lives and the life of all those around us.
